ING NETHERLANDS
My graduation internship at ING Netherlands focused on improving the global internal communication of Enterprise Content Automation (E&CA), a department responsible for developing internal products and services used across ING. Working within one of Europe's largest financial institutions, I combined research, communication strategy, and visual storytelling to make complex technical information more accessible for colleagues worldwide.
Research revealed that information about EC&A's products was fragmented, inconsistent, and difficult to navigate across regions. My role was to identify these communication challenges and design a scalable solution that could be implemented globally while aligning with ING's branding guidelines and the European Accessibility Act (EAA).
From concept to delivery, I managed the complete creative process. I conducted qualitative and quantitative research, developed the communication strategy, wrote the script, designed the visual approach, produced an introductory video, and tested the solution with international stakeholders. The final result combined video storytelling with structured navigation elements to help employees quickly understand EC&A's services regardless of their technical background.
This internship strengthened my ability to translate complex systems into clear, engaging communication while collaborating within an international corporate environment. It reinforced the importance of research-driven design, accessibility, and strategic storytelling when communicating at a global scale.
